(TraNews) – There are fields of white mushrooms scatter over Puli Township. Little egrets fly in between the fields and farmers go back and forth to pick out the white mushrooms. This is a normal scene in Puli.
White mushroom is one of the main corps in Puli. The place is perfect to grow white mushroom for pleasant weather and clean water. As a result, there plant a big area of white mushroom in Puli. The technique of plating white mushroom has improved a lot in recent years. The quality of white mushroom gets even better. Every year from February to October is the season of white mushroom.
The peak season of white mushroom is from August to September. Farmers would load the truck with stacks of white mushroom and deliver them to the market. The remaining leaves of white mushroom are peeled and piled up like a little green mountain. Don’t estimate the remaining leaves, there are actually some people use it as the ingredients of paper.
One of the white mushroom farmer indicated that the key to tasty white mushroom is to plant in clean water. It takes 4 months from planting the seed to harvesting. When picking the white mushroom, farmers have to wear water-proof pants and rain shoes.
