(TraNews) –Guanwu is a place in Shiba National Park. As the season is about to change, Cryptobranchoidea is going to revive. The researchers of Shiba National Park are about to make great study of those adorable creatures.
Cryptobranchoidea was officially announced being the new species of amphibian in 2008 and in the very same year became extinct animal. Cryptobranchoidea lives above 1300m in central and northern Taiwan. This kind of creature has strict demanding of living condition. The living environment has to have clean water moving water, between 8-15 degree Celsius and moisture content around 70-90%. Cryptobranchoidea is a nocturnal animal and hides under leaves during daytime. The Cryptobranchoidea preys on spider, earthworm, slug, flies, etc.
One of the staffs in Shiba National Park indicated that the number of Cryptobranchoidea is very rare, as a matter of fact, it is very hard to find their tracks. The creature is very sensitive to the surrounded and that makes the animal the index of the environment. The people in Shiba National Park have put a lot of effort preserving this kind of creature and establish an observation area.
