HUALIEN, TAIWAN (TTNews) – Coming to Ji-an Township in Hualien, Ji-an is famous for its breathtaking natural landscape aside from possessing four hiking trails, including Sunlight Hiking Trail, Siangyang Hiking Trail, Maple Wood Hiking Trail and White Cloud Hiking Trail. These hiking trailers have become the local residents’ favorite place for taking a stroll and attracted quite a number of tourists to drive up to the mountain to enjoy the night view.

Maple Wood Hiking Trail was originally set up to facilitate villagers’ entering. In the end of the trail, rows of maple trees are planted here, so the trail later is known as “Maple Wood Hiking Trail”. After the length of 2.85 kilometers of Maple Wood Hiking Trail was reconstructed, it has now become the most popular scenic spot in the suburbs of Hualien. Whether driving, cycling, or walking along the trail, visitors will definitely be stunned by the breathtaking beauty of Ji-an’s terraced rice paddies and rural scenery. It is also worth mentioning that Maple Wood Hiking Trail possesses rich ecological and flora resources.

At the end of the trail, Maple Wood Hiking Trail connects to White Cloud Hiking Trail. The length of 3.6 kilometers of White Cloud Hiking Trail is a mountain trail situated at 400~500 meters above sea level, which possesses rich scenery as well.
