Grand Central Terminal and Hsinchu station has both been built in 1913; this year is the 100th birthday. The mayor of Hsinchu and leader of Hsinchu station had went to New York on 16th August to sign the contract. Because of the sisterhood between Hsinchu and New York, visitors travel in Hsinchu can gain some special offers by using New York Metro ticket. Taiwan representative signed the sisterhood contract with the leader of Grand Central Terminal, Steve Cupelli, on 16th August.During this signing ceremony, the local media broadcast the history of Grand Central Terminal which is built by Vanderbilt Family. Also, it is the world's largest public building space of train station. In the field of architecture, it obtains a high evaluation. Beside, the Hsinchu Mayor introduced the history of Hsinchu Station and Hsinchu City. Hsinchu government indicates that there are five featured structures in Hsinchu including Qing East Gate, City God Temple, train station is built from Japanese occupation, Hsinchu Prefectural Hall and Taiwan Pavilion. Visiting in Hsinchu must go to these five places and you will feel worth. It is a good beginning of sisterhood between Hsinchu and New York.
