By TraNews Reporter Tsai Tsung Ting HSINCHU CITY, Taiwan (TraNews) - In Hsinchu City, there are a lot of Taiwanese aborigines who living around Hai Hsan Fishing Port due to their job. Although they live in city, in order to keep their traditional culture. They hold a harvest festival once a year. During harvest festival, everyone could play together and have fun by the activity.
2013 Hsinchu Harvest Festival is going to host at Hai Hsan Fishing Port on August 24, 2013. “Harvest festival is the biggest and vital activity for Taiwanese aborigines. The ceremony not only stresses the importance of aborigines’ culture and reminiscent ancestors but inspire everyone by this opportunity”, said by Hsinchu City Government.
Harvest festival will start from 9 am to 4 pm. It has many events including welcome dancing, harvest dancing, and warrior dancing and so on. Also, there are many booths which sell aborigines’ handmade product. You can also join Family fun competitions; the first 500 people could get a free accessory with aborigine’s style. It also provides 200 meals with aborigines’ flavor to visitors.
