By TraNews Reporter Chiu, Wei Cheng TAINAN CITY, Taiwan (TraNews) - Tainan City Government Tourism Bureau sponsored the micro cinema, Oyster Man, and the movie premier was at National Museum of Taiwan Literature. This movie is an adaptation of a true story. The main subject is the insistence of oyster man and the beautiful landscapes of Qigu District.
This movie react the Qigu’s history, culture, scenery and it can see Black-faced spoonbills along west coast, the head of Tainan City Tourism said.The director indicated this story about the relationship between people and land. The core value is Tainan people’s effort for return their hometown. To take Dr. Wang for example, he went back to his hometown to make contribution.
Oyster Man’s length of film is 21 minutes. The protagonist, Huang Yì Cheng, give up his master degree in order to breed oyster in Tainan. At beginning, he encountered much pressure from his family, however, he try his best to overcome difficulty such as sell fresh grilled oyster in night market.
In this movie, it can also see much famous attractions including Wu Sheng Night Market, Black-faced Spoonbill Conservation Center, Luerhmen Sheng Mu Temple and so on.
