Buying produce from charities could not only get merchandise but help social vulnerable groups. This year Children Are Us Foundation in order to help children and elders who live in rural tribes, they hope public could donate money to buy moon cakes and send to vulnerable people as a gift. The target volume of moon cakes is 47000 boxes so that the foundation held a press conference to announce information. Besides, the foundation invited a person as their representative of products, Peter, to promote moon cake gifts.
Peter, 30 years old, has already worked in Children Are Us Foundation for 11 years. He is a disable person but works very hard. He always tries his best to make and sell cakes. In addition, he got a nation license about bakery in July due to his hard working. At press conference day, Peter and children who are from rural tribes promoted Foundation’s moon cakes on the runway.
Children Are Us Foundation was established in 1994. Their mission is disable people’s job training. There are 32 disable people who pass the bakery nation license because of foundation’s training course. The foundation open a bakery class to help disable people could learn some skills. Moreover, Children Are Us Foundation runs 28 bakeries, which own ISO 22000 license, that supplies a work place to this kind of people.
The CEO of Children Are Us Foundation said a famous design company help design three different style packing. The concept of packing is traveling around the world. There are circus, ocean, forest and zoo in the journey. Also, the moon cakes have many flavors including pineapple cake, egg yolk, jujube paste and so on. Except cakes they also sell scented tea. All goods are select high quality materials to produce.
Although the foundation helps disable people a lot, they still need public’s donation. This year they hope send 47000 boxes of foundation’s moon cake to rural tribes. It needs public and companies’ help. Let’s do something for vulnerable people via this activity during this Moon Festival.
