By TraNews Reporter Chang, Kuo-Shuan PINGTUNG, TAIWAN (TraNews) – A cultural tour of Taiwan would not be complete without learning about the island’s native peoples, or visiting an aboriginal-themed museum. Ever since Taiwan’s tourism has been increasingly gaining international recognition, the visibility and popularity of aboriginal cultures and handicraft industry has also been greatly improved. The Aboriginal Cultural and Art Fair will be held at Pingtung City Art Museum Plaza every second Saturday and Sunday of the month. The fair aims to promote handicrafts made in Taiwan and to create a place for the sale of these handicrafts at reasonable prices. The fair is, without doubt, the best platform for aboriginal people to promote their products and increase business opportunities, and for visitors from home and abroad to purchase distinctive gifts and souvenirs.
